On the 9th September, 2020 the Saboba Youth Centre held the 4th edition of its annual Finalist Summit to educate Basic Education Certificate Examination candidates in Junior High Schools from the Saboba Township on examination best practices and what constitute malpractice.
This event is held yearly to build capacity and confidence of the candidates to be ready and well prepared to take on their final JHS examinations.
Mr. Samuel Kunji led the students to understand some basic principles of examinations and he admonished them to be well disciplined to achieve excellence in their examination.
The event was put together in collaboration with The Church of Pentecost Saboba. The Church has in the past 4 years been collaborating with the Centre to organize same events.
Speaking at the event on behalf of the District Director of Education, Mr. James Kwabena Gmadan, Guidance and Counselling Coordinator of Ghana Education Service, Saboba thanked the Youth Centre for such decision to help their younger ones. He said the District Director says thank you to the Youth Centre for this great initiative. He further advised the students to take the impending exam serious because it will serve as a yardstick to position them for the future.
The Summit was graced by Ghana Education Service, Teachers, Students, Members of the Saboba Youth Centre, and Media persons in the Saboba.
